The FreeThinker's Match Maker was created to help people of like-minded views on religion and philosophy to meet one another. Specifically this site is for single atheists, agnostics, humanists and other nonreligious people. In today's society, at least in the United States, the vast majority of the population have religious beliefs. So it is sometimes difficult for people who have nonreligious philosophies to meet. That's where the FreeThinker's Match Maker comes in.

Nothing. Posting a personal ad and receiving and replying to responses to your ad are free. There is a small charge for initiating contact with others who have posted ads. Currently, a one-year Premium Membership costs just $14.

Memberships that last for a full year, or were started prior to Jan. 24, 2006, are non-recurring, so there is nothing to cancel. If you are on a monthly membership plan created after Jan. 24, you can cancel your recurring membership by clicking the button below and PayPal will walk you through the cancellation process.

You may also contact the FreeThinkerMatch.com administrator for cancellation. Once cancelled, a confirmation email will be sent to you from PayPal.

To find the profile of the person you wishes to correspond with you, your can simply click the username that is directly to the left of the subject line in your mailbox. You will be taken directly to that person's profile. You can also use my Username Lookup search engine.

There are two steps involved in posting an ad. First, visit the registration page, and select a username and provide some general information for our records. You will then be taken to a page where you provide information to be included in the profile other members will see, including your characteristics, a little bit about yourself and what you a looking for in someone else. Your registration is finalized after you submit your profile, and a unique password will automatically be emailed to you which will allow you to log in to your account. You will also have the opportunity to add a photo to your profile once it is added to the site.

Yes. People can respond to your ad through a form and your email address will not be revealed to them. You will be able to view mail you receive from other members by logging into your account and clicking on the "My Mailbox" button.

If you receive an error when you try to log in with the password you were sent upon registration, the most likely cause is that there are extra spaces in either your username or password. If you are copying and pasting your password from your email to the login in box, be sure you don't copy the empty spaces before and after your password. Also you may want to double check you are typing in your username correctly.

The FreeThinker's Match Maker was started in early August 2001 by a freelance website designer who saw an opportunity to create a niche singles site catering to nonbelievers. Prior to becoming a website designer he was a newspaper editor for a year and a reporter for a year prior. He graduated from University with a bachelor's degree in History and journalism in 1996.
