Collection and Use of Member Information:

The FreeThinker's Match Maker is an online personals ad site in which persons are allowed to display details in an advertisement about their personalities, hobbies and other characteristics so other users can make determinations as to whether the person placing the ad is a potential match. All information collected from the user upon registration through the membership form is voluntarily given. Some information will be displayed in the member's ad for others to see, while other information will not. Information to be kept out of view of other site users are actual names, email addresses and passwords. We do not collect home addresses or phone numbers. All other information collected through the forms, including the city and state where the member is a resident if provided, will be listed.

When a user signs up for Premium (paid) Membership, credit card numbers or banking information is never made available to the FreeThinker's Match Maker. Such information is collected and processed by our third party payment provider, iBill.

All information a member chooses to list in the written or essay portions of a personal ad are freely volunteered by the member and may be viewed by anyone, even if it contains private information like names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, etc. It is, however, against the Terms of Service of the site to list such information in a member's ad.

The FreeThinker's Match Maker will make every effort to keep all non-disclosed information private. All such information on the site is password protected. Members may change or delete their own information at will by logging into their accounts and making the changes. However, it may still be possible for someone to view such information through hacking or accidental disclosure, since perfect security is not possible.

Upon cancellation of a person's membership, all information relating to that member will be deleted from the servers. However, such information may remain for a time in backup copies of site data. It is also possible that such deleted information may be inadvertently re-uploaded without the user's consent if backups need to be used. If this happens, the former member should contact the site administrator as soon as possible so that the ad can be removed from the server as well as from backup copies. Site Use of Cookies and Tracking:

The FreeThinker's Match Maker personals script makes use of "cookies" which are snippets of computer code placed on the member's or visitor's computer for various reasons. These uses of cookies are in accordance with standard industry practice, and persons using this site may configure their browsers so that these cookies cannot be accepted if so chosen. Uses of cookies by the FreeThinker's Match Maker are:

• To determine if a member is logged in. A session based cookie is placed on the member's computer when logged in so the script can determine when the member's session will expire. Once a session expires a member would need to log in again. Without this use of cookies, a member would need to log in each time a new page is accessed within the member's area.

• To determine sources of new users. The FreeThinker's Match Maker may from time to time conduct advertising to attract new visitors and members. We may employ a cookie to determine the source of a new visitor or new member acquisition. This is necessary to assess effectiveness of advertising campaigns, as well as to calculate commissions for the advertisers. Personally identifiable information, such as names, addresses, and other personal information like online purchasing habits are not collected by these cookies. Also, the cookie cannot determine how any specific member or person arrived at the site. No contact or personal information of any kind is given or sold to the advertiser that referred the new member. The advertiser is entitled to receive aggregate data concerning the overall number of new members sent and how much the advertiser earned for such traffic.

The FreeThinker's Match Maker uses the services of HitBox, a product of WebSideStory, a third party service provider which uses cookies to collect aggregate data concerning traffic. Information collected includes: number of times visitors come to the site, the web domain and page that referred the user to the site, search engine keywords used to find the site and similar information. The FreeThinker's Match Maker may also from time to time place third party advertisements on site pages, such as banners and buttons. The ad networks that deliver these advertisements may also employ cookies, whose privacy policy may differ from that of the FreeThinker's Match Maker. Whenever such ad networks are utilized by the FreeThinker's Match Maker, the privacy policies of those ad networks will be linked to from this page.

At no time will the FreeThinker's Match Maker sell or make available personally identifiable information to third parties, including non-disclosed personal information like names and email addresses, or information collected from cookies, except in the manner described in this policy, and in accordance with applicable law.
